Kangasala - abundant cultural experiences near nature
Kangasala is an abundant city, located 16km away from Tampere. The city offers beautifully diverse nature, featuring alluring ridged eskers, forests, lakes and ponds – so much so that it once inspired the acclaimed Finnish author Zachris Topelius to write his famous poem Kesäpäivä Kangasalla (‘A Summer Day in Kangasala’). Hence, the area is ideal for outdoor activities, such as hiking along the many trails. In addition to nature, Kangasala has a rich cultural life with numerous possibilities to pursue arts, crafts, dance or music.
